100 Days until the Canada-Wide Science Fair 2015

If you’re on the Canada-Wide Science Fair website today, you probably noticed something really exciting – our countdown clock has ticked over to 100! That means we’re just 100 days away for the 2015 CWSF in Fredericton! This is the first time CWSF has ever been in New Brunswick, and our organizing committee is already hard at work to make sure this will be a memorable year for everyone!

For those who have never been to New Brunswick, you’re in for a treat - Fredericton is our provincial capital, and it’s a very pretty city with a lot of history! There are lots of opportunities to experience culture, history, entertainment and other attractions all within easy walking distance of the CWSF 2015 location!

Youth Science Canada has also partnered with two great New Brunswick organizations for CWSF 2015. Science East is New Brunswick’s only hands-on science centre, but it’s much more than just cool science. The science centre is also in a 173-year-old building that used to be a jail – that means you can explore some of the old cells while checking out the more than 150 different exhibits! The University of New Brunswick also has a long history – it was founded in 1785, making it Canada’s oldest English-language university. UNB is home more than 11-thousand students from 100 countries, and we have hundreds of researchers working on cutting edge science and technology.

Both UNB and Science East are excited to host the finalists from across the country, and we can’t wait to see what you’ve all been working on!
