The CWSF 2013 Ambassadors are looking forward to helping finalists and delegates make the most of their CWSF experience. Meet the Ambassadors and learn what being a CWSF finalist meant to them.
The three Ambassadors on the Finalist Interaction Team will ensure that the time spent in the exhibit hall is fun and interactive. You will be very familiar with this team’s voices as they will be the ones making announcements from the Information Centre. Be sure to drop by the Information Centre in the exhibit hall if you have any questions, or if you just want to say hi!
Erin Baker (Senior Ambassador)
Province: Newfoundland and Labrador
Currently: Physics and Applied Mathematics at Memorial University of Newfoundland
CWSF: 2009, 2011
The Canada Wide science fair was my first opportunity to see what youth are really capable of doing in an encouraging environment. Seeing the incredible innovations from people my age allowed made me realize that I was capable of great things too if I just make an effort to go the extra mile.
Province: British Columbia
Currently: Psychology and Visual Arts at University of British Columbia
CWSF: 2004, 2005
CWSF taught me the value of preparation and enthusiasm, to speak from the heart and expect the unexpected. As years pass, project specifics may lose their clarity, but these interdisciplinary skills resonate now.
Currently: Actuarial Science at Université Laval
CWSF: 2008, 2012
My experiences at science fairs as a student, as well as a previous ambassador, have allowed me the opportunity to meet students from across Canada. I love talking to students who are just as passionate about sciences as I am! My experiences at the CWSF gave me the opportunity to become more involved with an organization that I hold close to my heart.
